Smith Machine RDL trains 5 of the 18 muscle groups Full Coverage tracks: Hamstrings 90%, Glutes 60%, Lower back / erectors 60%, Forearms 25%, Adductors (inner thigh) 15%.
How to do it
- Set the bar on the rails at hip height.
- Grip just outside your thighs, stand tall, knees soft.
- Push your hips back and let the bar run down the rails to mid-shin.
- Drive the hips forward to stand.
- The fixed path means you can focus entirely on the hip hinge.
