Standing Calf Raises
How to do it
- Set the shoulder pads to your height and stand with the balls of your feet on the platform, heels hanging off.
- Stand up to take the weight, legs straight but knees not locked hard.
- Let your heels sink as far below the platform as they will go - that stretch is the point.
- Push up onto your toes as high as you can and pause for a beat.
- Lower slowly. Bouncing off the bottom is the most common way to waste this exercise.
